Riding transit is now easier with Clipper card. Stanford Medicine provides eligible employees with a Clipper card pre-loaded with a Caltrain Go Pass, a VTA SmartPass, and an AC Transit EasyPass for unlimited travel, any time, on Caltrain, VTA, and AC Transit.

Clipper is the all-in-one transit card making it easy to ride transit in the Bay Area

Your Clipper card can hold transit passes and tickets, cash value, or any combination. Fares loaded as cash can be used on any participating transit system. You can even use your Clipper card to pay for parking at transit stations, for bike parking, and as an access key to bike share.

Clipper card is pre-loaded. Stanford Medicine provides eligible employees with a Clipper card that is pre-loaded with a Caltrain Go Pass, VTA SmartPass, and AC Transit EasyPass* for unlimited Bay Area travel.

Add value. Employees can use pre-tax dollars to load transit passes and tickets for other Bay Area transit agencies on Clipper card, and can use pre-tax dollars to add money to pay for parking at transit. Employees can also add funds to pay for bicycle parking and bike share on Clipper card.

* AC Transit EasyPass is available only to benefits-eligible employees living in the East Bay.

* Please note: due to the Stanford University winter closure, No new transit pass requests will be processed between 12/12/2023 - 12/31/2023. Effective January 1, 2024, management and assignment of hospital staff transit passes will be overseen by Stanford Medicine Transportation Services (previously Stanford University).
