Log in to the Stanford University Transportation portal and purchase a daily or monthly permit

Parking is reserved through the Stanford Medicine Transportation App. Permits are released daily at 4 PM to reserve parking for the next day. Detailed instructions can be found here.

Eligibility: Staff may be eligible to park in the lot associated with their primary work location. Parking eligibility is determined by department leadership. To find out if you are eligible to park in a Welch Road location, please contact your department lead.

    Overview:

    • Motorcycle parking is free in designated motorcycles spaces at Pasteur Staff Garage (PSG/500 Pasteur)
      • Staff arriving on a motorcycle and parking in these designated spaces do not need to purchase a permit or display proof of payment
      • Motorcycles parked outside the designated motorcycle spaces are subject to the parking requirements for that area
    • For all other Stanford Medicine garages and lots, motorcycles require an appropriate parking permit. Riders may purchase:
      • MC (Motorcycle) Parking Permit
      • ‘A’ Parking Permit
      • ‘C’ Parking Permit
      • Location-specific parking permits as applicable (Welch Road, Hoover Garage, Pasteur Staff Garage, etc.)

    Eligibility: All Stanford Health Care (SHC) and Lucile Packard Children's Hospital (LPCH) staff, regardless of hire date, are eligible to park in the motorcycle spaces at Pasteur Staff Garage or purchase ‘MC’ parking permits. Hire-date restrictions still apply for Hoover Garage, ‘A’ and ‘C’ parking permits.

    Cost:

    • Designated spaces in Pasteur Staff Garage: free
    • MC Permits: $17/month or $3.50/day
    • Pasteur Staff Garage Dily permit: $15/day
    • ‘A’ Permit: $155/month or $22/day
    • ‘C’ Permit: $45/month or $8/day
    • Hoover Garage Permit: $45/month or $8/day
    • Welch Road permits: $140/month or $15/day

      • Welch Road parking permits: location specific (e.g., 900 Welch parking permit for 900 Welch Road lot). Welch Road parking eligibility is dependent upon building and department eligibility requirements.       How to Purchase

      Eligibility: Remote staff and off-site staff whose primary work location (in Workday) is outside of the Palo Alto Hospital Campus.

      Cost:

      • Hours 0-2: free
      • Hours 2-5: $3/hour (and fraction thereof)
      • Hours 5+: $18 per day maximum
